Back in November 2021, Bubble launched a new editor, making it much easier to build responsive apps. This new editor is based on CSS Flexbox, a web layout technology that makes building responsive websites easier by allowing elements to ‘flex’ (grow, shrink) and align in a logical way.

Instead of dragging & dropping elements wherever in the page (and hoping for them to look nice), you now need to define a structure of rows and columns. This new design system has led to a much better developer experience and a clear performance increase on both the Bubble editor and the user-facing pages.
