Learning to use APIs will open a whole world of possibilities. You will be able to access data from your app that would be inaccessible otherwise (e.g. your Facebook data), access data that changes frequently (e.g. stock market data), and perform complex actions without needing to program them yourself (e.g. mathematic operations). APIs power the web and are present in lots of the apps you use every day!
